 India made history with the batting of Smriti Mandhana and Jemima Rodriguez, did such a wonder in the ODI cricket



Smriti Mandhana-Jemimah Rodrigues Innings: The Indian women’s team and the Ireland women’s team are set to go head-to-head in the second ODI. India women cricket team captain Smriti Mandhana opted for batting as she won the toss in this match that was wise to some extent. Indian batsmen played well and set a huge target of 370 runs before Ireland. Top performing batswomen for India were Smriti Mandhana, Harleen Deol and Jemimah Rodrigues. 


Opener Smriti Mandhana stood tall as she smashed a fine fifty


India players to come to open were Captain Smriti Mandhana and Preetika Rawal. These two players put together 156 runs for the side and India got off to a good start to post a big total. Mandhana was dismissed after scoring 73 runs and Rawal was dismissed after scoring 67 runs. After this, the Harleen Deol made a half century. Jemima Rodrigues again struck a good hundred. Finally Jemima made 102 runs in only 91 balls inclusive of 12 fours. Because of such players the women’s team of India was able to set a good total of 370 runs on the scoreboard. 


Indian women’s team achieved their highest ODI score


Indian women’s team best score in the ODI cricket is 370 runs. Before that, India had achieved 358 in one ODI match in Ireland in the year 2017. Later in the year 2024, India had made 358 runs in ODI match against the West Indies. What was there highest record they have ever scored in ODI. But now with the muscular innings of Smriti Mandhana and Jemima Rodriguez, India has distanced itself further from this mark.

Jemima made the first century of her ODI career


Jemima Rodrigues began her One Day Internationals in the year 2018. Now she has made her first ODI hundred. Currently, she has appeared 41 ODI matches on behalf of Team India while she has amassed 1089 runs. In this period, she has also made 6 fifties.
